The effect of an awareness program on attitude change of female students towards the sociability and educational situation of their peers with Physical disorder in inclusive primary schools

Abstract
 Abstract:Background: Since the inclusion of the students with disabilities in public schools has been developed through recent years, using appropriate interventions and programs to change the attitudes of the students seems necessary. The purpose of current study was to investigate the effect of an awareness program on the attitude of the fifth grade students on the sociability and educational situations of their peers with physical disability.Materials and methods: 62 fifth grade girls students from two inclusive schools participated in this study. They were randomly divided in two experimental (31 individuals) and control (31 individuals) groups. Attitude of students were evaluated by Gash attitude measurement questionnaire(Gash,1993). The results were analyzed by  analysis variance and Toky test.Results: The finding showed that the attitude of the experimental group, in the sociability and educational situation of their peers with physical disability were significantly increased, after attending in awareness program in comparison to control group. Conclusion: Awareness programs for the students make attitude improvements in students towards their peers with physical disorders.Keywords: inclusive schools, Attitude change, disable.
