In addition to proper citation of the source, the use of figures or diagrams published in other books or articles requires written permission from the corresponding author of the source. This written permission MUST be explicitly stated in the figure or diagram caption. Moreover, at the time of manuscript submission to the journal's system, the corresponding author must attach the correspondence, i.e., the permission email, as a supplementary file.
To satisfy this requirement, the corresponding author must send an exact copy of the image or diagram to the corresponding author of the source via email and obtain written permission to reproduce it. The record of this correspondence must be preserved with the manuscript documents within the submission system.
Failure to comply constitutes a breach of national and international ethical guidelines for research and publication adhered to by the Journal of Research in Rehabilitation Sciences. Consequently, if such a breach is detected, the manuscript will be immediately removed from the review and publication process due to copyright infringement, even if it had previously been accepted for publication by the journal.
