The aim of the current study was to evaluate the effect of 12 weeks of functional exercises on forward head posture and spirometry parameters.Materials and Methods: In this quasi-interventional study, 40 patients with forwarding head posture angle of greater than 46 degrees were selected purposefully. They were randomly divided into two equal groups of control and experimental. Before and after 12 weeks functional exercises, forward head posture was assessed using the lateral view image and calculating forward head angle (angle between vertical line and the line between the tragus and C7); spirometry parameters were noted, too. The research findings were analyzed using descriptive and comparative methods at the significant level of less than 0.05.Results: In experimental group, the mean forward head angle was significantly decreased (from 55.25 ± 4.14 to 51.30 ± 4.24 degrees); while respiratory capacity of forced expiratory volume for first second (FEV1) (from 87.50  ±4.50 to 92.95±  4.51 percent), forced vital capacity (FVC) (from 89.05±  6.04 to 94.10  ±4.83 percent), and peak expiratory flow (PEF) (from 86.55 ± 4.08 to 91.65±  4.00 liter/minute) significantly increased (P < 0.001 for all). These changes were not seen in the control group.}, keywords = {Functional exercises,Forward head,Spirometry parameters}, title_fa = {تأثیر دوازده هفته تمرینات عملکردی بر زاویه سر به جلو و شاخص‌های اسپیرومتری}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: سر به جلو، یکی از شایع‌ترین ناهنجاری‌های وضعیتی است که منجر به عدم سازماندهی عضلات مشترک بین گردن و شانه می‌شود و در نهایت، ظرفیت ششی و تنفس صحیح افراد را با مشکل مواجه می‌سازد. هدف از انجام پژوهش حاضر، بررسی تأثیر 12 هفته تمرینات عملکردی بر ناهنجاری سر به جلو و شاخص‌های اسپیرومتری در افراد مبتلا به این عارضه بود.مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه نیمه تجربی، 40 فرد دارای ناهنجاری سر به جلوی بیشتر از 46 درجه به صورت هدفدار انتخاب شدند و به صورت تصادفی در دو گروه 20 نفره تجربی و شاهد قرار گرفتند. قبل و پس از 12 هفته تمرینات عملکردی (کششی- ثباتی و خوداصلاحی فعال- تکلیف محور)، زاویه سر به جلو با استفاده از روش عکس‌برداری از نمای نیم‌رخ و محاسبه زاویه خط میان تراگوس و 7C با خط عمودی (زاویه سر به جلو) اندازه‌گیری و شاخص‌های اسپیرومتری ثبت گردید. از آزمون تحلیل کواریانس جهت تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها استفاده شد (05/0 > α).یافته‌ها: در گروه تجربی، میانگین زاویه سر به جلو بعد از تمرینات به طور معنی‌داری کاهش یافت و از 14/4 ± 25/55 به 24/4 ± 30/51 درجه رسید (001/0 > P). همچنین، افزایش معنی‌داری در ظرفیت‌های تنفسی Forced expiratory volume (FEV1) (از 50/4 ± 50/87 به 51/4 ± 95/92 درصد)، Forced vital capacity (FVC) (از 04/6 ± 05/89 به 83/4 ± 10/94 درصد) و Peak expiratory flow (PEF) (از 08/4 ± 55/86 به 00/4 ± 65/91 لیتر بر دقیقه) مشاهده گردید (001/0 > P)، اما چنین تغییراتی در گروه شاهد ایجاد نشد.نتیجه‌گیری: انجام تمرینات عملکردی به عنوان یک روش ساده و غیر تهاجمی جهت اصلاح عارضه سر به جلو و در نتیجه، بهبود وضعیت تنفسی در افراد دارای این ناهنجاری توصیه می‌گردد.}, keywords_fa = {تمرینات عملکردی,سر به جلو,شاخص‌های اسپیرومتری}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_17025.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_17025_e405b463fc7a4b3f1d44fb301edb93d6.pdf} }
