The aim of this study was to compare the efficacy of an 8-week balance, resistance, and combined (balance-resistance) exercise program on balance, gait, and quality of life (QOL) in women with MS.Materials and Methods: In the present study, 30 women with MS (mean ± standard deviation of age: 34.6 ± 4.1) were randomly divided into balance, resistance, and combined exercise groups. The Berg Balance Scale, six-minute walk test (6MWT), Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life-54 (MSQOL-54) questionnaire, and the Expanded Disability Status Scale (EDSS) were used, respectively, to evaluate balance, gait, and QOL. Patients underwent 3 separate intervention protocols for 8 weeks. The ANOVA, Tukey’s post hoc test, and paired t-test were used for statistical analysis (P < 0.05).Results: Balance and resistance exercises improved balance and resistance and combined exercises improved gait, but they did not significantly affect the patients’ QOL.Conclusion: It can be concluded that balance and resistance exercises have a positive effect on balance and combined and resistance exercise has positive effects on gait; thus, they can be recommended as a supplementary rehabilitation intervention for women with MS.}, keywords = {Multiple Sclerosis,Quality of Life,Gait,Balance}, title_fa = {مقایسه تأثیر هشت هفته برنامه تمرینی مقاومتی، تعادلی و ترکیبی (مقاومتی- تعادلی) بر تعادل، راه رفتن و کیفیت زندگی بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس: مداخله پیش‌آزمون- پس‌آزمون}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: تمرین درمانی، یکی از روش‌‌های مکمل درمانی برای توان‌بخشی بیماران مبتلا به مولتیپل اسکلروزیس (Multiple sclerosis یا MS) محسوب می‌شود. هدف از انجام مطالعه حاضر، مقایسه تأثیر هشت هفته تمرینات تعادلی، مقاومتی و ترکیبی (تعادلی- مقاومتی) بر تعادل، راه رفتن و کیفیت زندگی زنان مبتلا به MS بود.مواد و روش‌ها: تعداد 30 زن مبتلا به MS با میانگین سنی 1/4 ± 6/34 سال و با توجه به سطح ناتوانی، در سه گروه تمرینات تعادلی، مقاومتی و ترکیبی (تعادلی- مقاومتی) قرار گرفتند. آزمون تعادلی Berg (Berg Balance Scale یا BBS)، آزمون مسافت 6 دقیقه راه رفتن، پرسش‌نامه کیفیت زندگی بیماران مبتلا به MS (54-Multiple Sclerosis Quality of Life یا 54-MSQOL) و شاخص وضعیت گسترش ناتوانی (Expanded Disability Status Scale یا EDSS) به ترتیب برای سنجش تعادل، راه رفتن، کیفیت زندگی و میزان ناتوانی شرکت کنندگان استفاده گردید. بیماران به مدت هشت هفته تمرینات مورد نظر را انجام دادند. آزمون‌های ANOVA، Tukey و Paired t جهت تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها مورد استفاده قرار گرفت.یافته‌ها: تمرینات تعادلی و مقاومتی منجر به بهبود نمرات تعادل شد و همچنین تمرینات مقاومتی و ترکیبی باعث بهبود راه رفتن گردید.  اما بر کیفیت زندگی بیماران تأثیر قابل ملاحظه ای نداشت.نتیجه‎گیری: به دلیل اثربخشی بیشتر تمرینات تعادلی و مقاومتی بر تعادل و تمرینات مقاومتی و ترکیبی بر راه رفتن استفاده از این تمرینات به عنوان روش مکمل توان‌بخشی، در بیماران مبتلا به MS ارجحیت دارد}, keywords_fa = {مولتیپل اسکلروزیس,کیفیت زندگی,راه رفتن,تعادل}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16993.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16993_f9f109af57cc66a7a3dad60f38dd126c.pdf} }
