However, how different working memory subsystems’ activation influences gait is still unknown. The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of working memory task on onspatio-temporal parameters of gait in elderly.Materials and Methods: 12 elderly with the mean age of 67.52 ± 2.19 years were selected through conveniece sampling. They took part in 3 testing conditions including single walking, walking while visuospatial sketchpad component of working memory was activated and walking while phonological loop component of working memory was activated. The participants performed 12 trials in each condition from which 6 trials were selected for further analysis. In dual task condition, 6 trials in which the participants had completed the working memory task correctly were selected, while in the single task condition, these 6 trials were selected randomly. The walking trials were recorded by Motion Analysis system. Repeated measure ANOVAwas used to analyze the gait parameters.Results: There were significant differences between 3 testing conditions in gait speed (F(2,142) = 64.54; P < 0.05), step length (F(2,142) = 45.82, p < 0.05) and step width (F(2,142) = 16.36, p < 0.05).Conclusion: Visuospatial working memory task led to shorter step length, wider step width and slower gait, hence interfered more with elderly gait in comparison to phonological loop working memory task. It seems that there are common cortical networks for gait control and visuospatial processing. Therefore, visuospatial dual task interventions might enhance elderlies’ gait.}, keywords = {Gait Pattern,Aging,Working memory,Visuospatial sketchpad,Phonological loop}, title_fa = {تغییرات پارامترهای فضایی- زمانی راه رفتن در سالمندان به دنبال تکالیف مختلف حافظه کاری}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: مطالعات پیشین نشان می‌دهد که الگوی راه رفتن سالمندان تحت تأثیر تکلیف شناختی همزمان قرار می‌گیرد. هرچند هنوز مشخص نیست که با فعال شدن زیرسیستم‌های مختلف حافظه کاری، الگوی راه رفتن چگونه تحت تأثیر قرار می‌گیرد. هدف از انجام پژوهش حاضر، تأثیر نوع تکلیف حافظه کاری بر پارامترهای فضایی- زمانی الگوی راه رفتن بود.مواد و روش‌ها: 12 سالمند (با میانگین سنی 19/2 ± 5/67) به صورت در دسترس انتخاب و تحت 3 شرایط آزمایشی راه رفتن به شکل مجرد، راه رفتن همزمان با فعال شدن لوح دیداری- فضایی حافظه کاری و راه رفتن همزمان با فعال شدن حلقه واج‌شناختی حافظه کاری مورد آزمون قرار گرفتند. شرکت کنندگان 12 کوشش راه رفتن را در هر شرایط اجرا کردند که از بین آن‌ها 6 کوشش انتخاب شد. ملاک انتخاب این 6 کوشش در شرایط تکلیف دوگانه، کوشش‌هایی بود که در آن شرکت کننده پاسخ صحیح به تکلیف حافظه کاری داده بود. در شرایط راه رفتن مجرد این 6 کوشش به صورت تصادفی انتخاب شد. کوشش‌های راه رفتن توسط دستگاه Motion analysis ثبت شد و داده‌های مرتبط با الگوی راه رفتن با استفاده از تحلیل واریانس با اندازه‌های تکراری تحلیل شد.یافته‌ها: بین 3 شرایط مختلف آزمایشی در سرعت راه رفتن (05/0 > P، 54/64 = (2،142)F)، طول گام (05/0 > P، 82/45 = (2،142)F) و عرض گام (05/0 > P، 36/16 = (2،142)F) تفاوت معنی‌داری وجود داشت.نتیجه‎گیری: تکلیف دیداری- فضایی در مقایسه با تکلیف واج‌شناختی منجر به طول گام کوتاه‌تر، عرض گام بیشتر و سرعت راه رفتن کمتر شد و تداخل بیشتری در راه رفتن ایجاد کرد. به نظر می‌رسد که برای کنترل راه رفتن و پردازش دیداری- فضایی، شبکه‌های عصبی مشترکی وجود دارد. از این‌رو، مداخلات تکلیف دوگانه دیداری- فضایی می‌تواند موجب بهبود راه رفتن سالمندان شود.}, keywords_fa = {راه رفتن,سالمندی,حافظه کاری,لوح دیداری-فضایی,حلقه واج شناختی}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16953.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16953_040ee853b117cb90d984dc5ab67de9c6.pdf} }
