Therefore, early detection and intervention foraffected children seem to be essential. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to estimate the prevalence of developmental coordination disorder in Iranian children with the age range of 3 to 11 years.Materials and Methods: It was a descriptive-exploratory study for which a multi-stage systematic sampling method was recruited to select the participants of the investigation. At the start of the study, a total number of 1784 Parents were required to complete the Developmental Coordination Disorder Questionnaire. 15 percent of children with the lowest inventory scores were subsequently selected for the main study. The Test of Gross Motor development-2 was used to evaluate the motor performance as well as the prevalence of developmental coordination disorder inthe children. Children with common medical disorders and those with IQ less than 70 were excluded from the study. The Chi-Square test at a significance level of α= 0.05 was used for statistical data analysis.Results: The prevalence of Developmental coordination disorder was found to be 2.7%. The calculated prevalence of DCD was found to be 3.53% in boys and 1.85% in girls with an actual gender ratio of 2:1.Conclusion: Although this rate is lower than previouslyreported rates, it demands that parents and officials be moresensitive tothe disorder, enhance physical education programs and encourage children toward physical activities in order to prevent the secondary problems resulted from the disorder.Keywords: Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), Test of Gross Motor Development-2}, keywords = {}, title_fa = {شیوع اختلال هماهنگی رشدی در کودکان 3 تا 11 ساله ایرانی}, abstract_fa = {چکیدهمقدمه: اختلال هماهنگی رشدی یک ناتوانی دراز مدت بوده و مشکلات  اجتماعی، عاطفی و تحصیلی مرتبط با آن ممکن است تا دوران نوجوانی و بزرگسالی ادامه پیدا کنند. به همین دلیل نیاز به شناسایی و مداخله‌های اولیه در مورد این کودکان ضروری به نظر می‌رسد. در این راستا هدف از این مطالعه برآورد میزان شیوع اختلال هماهنگی رشدی در کودکان 3 تا 11 ساله ایرانی بود.   مواد و روش‌ها:  تحقیق حاضر از نوع توصیفی و شیوه انجام آن زمینه‌یابی بود. به‌طوریکه از روش نمونه‌گیری چند مرحله‌ای سیستماتیک (منظم) برای انتخاب نمونه تحت بررسی استفاده شد. در مجموع والدین 1784 پرسشنامه اختلال هماهنگی رشدی را تکمیل کردند. مطالعه با 15 درصد کودکانی که پایین‌ترین نمرات کل را از نظر والدینشان دریافت کرده بودند ادامه یافت. به منظور ارزیابی عملکرد حرکتی کودکان و برآورد میزان شیوع اختلال هماهنگی رشدی از آزمون رشد حرکتی درشت-2 استفاده شد. کودکانی که هر گونه مشکل پزشکی شناخته شده داشتند یا بهره هوشی آنها کمتر از 70 بود از روند مطالعه کنار گذاشته شدند. از آزمون آماری خی دو در سطح معناداری 05/0 = α برای تجزیه و تحلیل داده‌ها استفاده شد.یافته‌ها: شیوع اختلال هماهنگی رشدی در نمونه تحت بررسی 7/2 درصد بود. به‌طوریکه این میزان در پسران 53/3 درصد و در دختران 85/1 درصد و نسبت جنسیت 2 به 1 بود.نتیجه‌گیری: با وجود اینکه این میزان کمتر از گزارش‌های مطالعات انجام شده قبلی می‌باشد، توجه بیش از پیش والدین و مسئولین نسبت به اختلال هماهنگی رشدی، غنی‌تر کردن برنامه‌های کلاسی تربیت‌بدنی و ترغیب کودکان به سمت فعالیت‌های حرکتی به منظور پیشگیری از مشکلات ثانویه مرتبط با این اختلال توصیه می‌شود.کلیدواژه‌ها: اختلال هماهنگی رشدی، آزمون رشد حرکتی درشت-2}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16774.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16774_5ce168e7d82819b638365771146fe699.pdf} }
