Cupping therapy may have an influence on the biomechanical properties of the tissues under treatment. Therefore, the current study was intended to investigate the effects of cupping therapy on some biomechanical properties of the skin such as stiffness and ultimate tensile strength in Wistar rats.Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, the convenience non-probability sampling method was used to collect 20 rats (10 rats in experimental group and 10 rats in pure control group) from the animal laboratory of Tehran University's Anatomy Department. The rats were divided into experimental, experimental control and pure control groups. In the experimental group, the animals' skins were cupped 10 minutes a day for 12 days. Skin stiffness and its ultimate tensile strength were measured in all groups using a tensiometer. For statistical analyses, paired sample t-test was used to compare the skin of both sides of the experimental animals' body while the independent sample t-test was adopted to compare between-group scores.Results: Compared to experimental control (P = 0.048, P = 0.029) and pure control (P = 0.018, P = 0.008) groups, skin stiffness and skin ultimate tensile strength of the experimental group (cupped group) decreased significantly.Conclusion: Cupping therapy can result in changes in biomechanical properties of the skin, namely stiffness and ultimate tensile strength reduction.Key words: Cupping therapy, Stiffness, Ultimate tensile strength, Wistar}, keywords = {}, title_fa = {اثرات کاپینگ درمانی بر روی خواص بیومکانیکی بافت‌های جلدی در موش صحرایی}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: کاپینگ درمانی به عنوان یکی از روش‌های درمانی رایج به صورت گسترده ای در اکثر کشورهای آسیایی جهت درمان بالینی ضایعات بافت نرم مورد استفاده قرار گرفته است، ولی شواهد پایه ای قوی در تاٌیید آن وجود ندارد. یکی از اثرات احتمالی کاپینگ اثر بر روی ویژگیهای بیومکانیکی بافت‌های تحت کاپینگ می‌باشد. هدف از این مطالعه، بررسی بنیادی اثرات کاپینگ درمانی بر روی برخی ویژگیهای بیومکانیکی پوست شامل سفتی و حداکثر قدرت کششی در موش صحرایی می‌باشد.مواد و روش‌ها: در این مطالعه تجربی، در مجموع 20 موش صحرایی (10 نمونه جهت کاپینگ درمانی و 10 نمونه به عنوان گروه کنترل خالص) به روش نمونه گیری غیر تصادفی ساده در دسترس از حیوان خانه بخش آناتومی دانشگاه علوم پزشکی تهران انتخاب شدند. سفتی و حداکثر قدرت کششی پوست تحت کاپینگ به مدت 10 دقیقه در طی 12 روز متوالی در این نمونه‌ها در 3 گروه آزمون، کنترل آزمون و کنترل خالص توسط دستگاه تنسیوتر مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. جهت تحلیل داده‌ها از آزمون تی زوجی برای مقایسه پوست طرفین هر نمونه در گروه آزمون و از آزمون تی مستقل برای مقایسه بین گروه‌ها استفاده گردید. یافته‌ها: میزان سفتی و حداکثر قدرت کششی پوست گروه آزمون (کاپینگ) نسبت به پوست گروه کنترل آزمون و گروه کنترل خالص به طور معنی داری کاهش یافت (به ترتیب 048/0P=، 029/0P=، 018/0P= و 008/0P=).نتیجه‌گیری: کاپینگ درمانی می‌تواند در ایجاد تغییراتی در ویژگیهای بیومکانیکی پوست موش صحرایی شامل کاهش سفتی و حداکثر قدرت کششی موٌثر ‌باشد.کلید واژه‌ها: کاپینگ درمانی، سفتی، حداکثر قدرت کششی، پوست موش صحرایی}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16749.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16749_bd1bd97293cc5f033b12e0ad0d71e651.pdf} }
