The aim of present research was to compare the effects of exercise therapy and self treatment provided through The Back Book on pain and disability in patients with chronic low back pain.Materials and methods: The statistical sample consisted of 29 patients with chronic low back pain of at least 3 months’ duration. Patients were randomly assigned to one of two treatment groups: exercise therapy (n=17) and self treatment through The Back Book (n=12). Disability was evaluated using Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Questionnaire (ODQ) and pain intensity was evaluated via the Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Treatment programs lasted 6 weeks for both groups. Independent and pair t-test were used for statistical analysis of data (p≤0.05).Results: Research findings showed that there were significant differences in the pain levels (p<0.001) and functional disability (p=0.001) of exercise therapy group but, there were not any significant changes in self-treatment group (p>0.05) with respect to these two variables. When two groups compared, levels of pain and functional disability were found to be statistically significant. Discussion: The findings of this study revealed that exercise therapy is more effective than self treatment through "The Back Book" for the purpose of disability improvement and pain relief in patients. Finally this study indicated that exercise therapy can be an effective method in managing patients with chronic low back pain.Key-words: Chronic low back pain, Exercise therapy, The Back Book.}, keywords = {}, title_fa = {مقایسه تاثیر دو روش تمرین درمانی و خود درمانی از طریق "کتاب کمر"بر بیماران مبتلا به کمردرد مزمن}, abstract_fa = {مقدمه: با توجه به تنوع شیوه های درمانی برای کمردرد ، هنوز توافق نظر درباره ی موثرترین روش درمانی وجود ندارد. هدف از انجام این پژوهش، مقایسه برنامه تمرینی منتخب و درمان با نگرش خود درمانی با استفاده از کتابی نوین در درمان کمردرد با عنوان"کتاب کمر"[1] می باشد.مواد و روش ها: 29 بیمار با تشخیص کمر درد مزمن در این پژوهش شرکت کردند که به صورت تصادفی در دو گروه تمرین درمانی (17بیمار) و خود درمانی بوسیله" کتاب کمر" (12 بیمار) قرار گرفتند. گروه تمرین درمانی با تشخیص پزشک تمرینات منتخب فلکسوری، اکتنسوری و تمرینات ثبات کمر را دریافت کردند و گروه خود درمانی ملزم به خواندن "کتاب کمر" و رعایت مفاد آن گردیدند. طول مدت درمان برای هر دو گروه 6 هفته در نظر گرفته شد. میزان درد و ناتوانی به ترتیب بوسیله  شاخص بصری درد وس[2] و پرسشنامه ناتوانی عملکردی اوسوستری[3] ارزیابی شد. یافته ها با استفاده از آزمون تی زوجی و تی مستقل در سطح معناداری  05/0 تحلیل شد.نتایج: نتایج این مطالعه نشان داد که تمرین درمانی باعث کاهش معنادار در میزان درد )001/0 (p<وبهبود ناتوانی)001/0= (p  بیماران گروه تمرین شده است در حالیکه گروه " کتاب کمر" در دو متغیر درد و ناتوانی بهبود معناداری را نسبت به قبل از دوره درمان نشان ندادند) 05/0 (p>. همچنین مقایسه بین دو گروه برای متغیرهای درد و ناتوانی تفاوت معناداری را از نظر آماری با یکدیگر نشان دادند.بحث: تمرین درمانی روشی موثر در درمان کمردرد مزمن میباشد. همچنین نتایج تحقیق نشان داد که تمرین درمانی بیش از خوددرمانی به وسیله "کتاب کمر" در درمان کمردرد مزمن تاثیر دارد. از این رو به نظر میرسد تمرین درمانی به این شکل بتواند روشی مؤثر در درمان کمردرد مزمن به شمار رود.کلید واژه: کمردرد مزمن، تمرین درمانی، کتاب کمر.}, keywords_fa = {}, url = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16442.html}, eprint = {https://jrrs.mui.ac.ir/article_16442_d5d98f5f3a211409b0b232d38c9afcf0.pdf} }
