Abstract

Introduction: Diagnosis and management of balance disorders is more difficult in young patients than in adults since children are frequently unable to explain the nature of their complaint. The symptoms of vestibular disorders in children may easily be mistaken for behavioral or other medical problems, leading to wrong diagnosis and inappropriate evaluation and treatment. This review summaries the most common causes of childhood vestibular disorders and suggests the need for a multidisciplinary approach to their assessment.Materials and Methods: The present study was a review of the latest literature on the subject of neurophysiological model of tinnitus using Science Direct, PuBmed, Google Scholar, ProQuet, Scopus databases.
